Madara is an inner jouney, a "Memory Box" from which emerge images of the past, present, futur and dreams. The play takes place in an imaginary and non-linear time propitious to immerse the viewer in a state of dream and contemplation.

The main topic of Madara is the relation to the Other.
Sometimes the same, sometimes a stranger.

For her interpretation Mayumi Fukuzaki was inspired by the character of "Yamamba"
This being is part of numerous Japanese legends and is associated with a ghost, a demon but also a nurturing mother, loving and protective.

The video setup allows the incorporation of the video at the heart of the scenic space.
The image then become this Other, acting, reacting or modifying the actions of the performer.

The music, very modern and electronic, contrast with the visuals, creating a subtle game of phase in and phase out.
